Business FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q: What is “We Are Feeling Lucky?”

A: Our name is a play on the “I’m feeling lucky button” on Google’s search page. We’re citizens of Greenville, SC just like you. We live here, work here, and love it here– and we want to see to it that Google Fiber becomes part of our community.

Q: What is Google On Main?

A: From 7:30pm - 9pm on Saturday March 20th, you can take part in history by helping create the world's first and longest "people-powered" Google chain with thousands of glowing LED glow sticks and a few other surprises that you’ll never forget! This huge, nighttime community-created event will be held in downtown Greenville starting at the Peace Center amphitheater at 7:30pm and will end with a grande finale in Falls Park at 9pm. Helicopters will also be provided. :)

Q: How do I participate in Google On Main?

A: You must go to www.WeAreFeelingLucky.com > Google On Main to sign up for this FREE event. We can only allow up to 2,000 people to participate. Glow sticks will be provided. Also, make sure to go to “Get Involved” to find out what else you can do to help bring Google to Greenville.

Q: What are Google On Main Glow Tickets?

A: Glow Tickets will be provided to all 2000 Google On Main participants free of charge. They can be redeemed at any participating downtown business. Each business may provide whatever discount, prize, or treat they want in exchange for your Glow Ticket.

Q: What else can my business do to get involved?

A: First, even if you can't participate on Saturday, you can still make a big difference in attracting Google Fiber to Grenville by going to http://www.wearefeelinglucky.com/get-involved. Sign the e-petition, take pics, make videos, etc.

Second, download and print the attached 8.5x14 Google On Main flier (to promote the event) AND the Google Glow Ticket flier (that shows participants that your business is accepting Glow tickets). Put them on your counters, your windows, your doors- whatever works best. If you don't want to print them, you can pick up pre-printed versions from Mary Douglas Hirsch on the 9th Floor at the City Hall building

Third, SPREAD THE WORD!!
